Career Highlights
Established and drove user centered design at multiple organizations; including Microsoft, iRobot and Acquia/Drupal.
Led strategic research and product design at iRobot, resulting in a simpler robot design and increased usage and habituation with the app.
Partnered with product and engineering leadership to simplify and align visual language across 4 UI tech stacks, 4 acquired teams and 5 core products.
Defined and delivered first shared design systems, iOT/smart home integrated devices, AI and ML enabled experiences for multiple products and platforms including v1 robot vision for iRobot.
Established and grew research and design teams from 2 to 25 for consumer products and enterprise software.
Coached, managed and mentored hundreds of executives, product managers, designers, design managers, and researchers on user centered design and research methods and how to drive product growth and usage.
Pioneered and developed research protocols that are widely used today (card sorting, RITE, and contextual inquiry).
Propmaker, stunt driver and production coordinator at Universal Studios.
Developed on the water and off the water corporate training utilizing a Viking Ship replica moored in Gloucester, MA (Polaris)
Defined and now piloting the NUDGE Method , codifying what I’ve learned as a catalyst throughout my career bridging the gap between design, engineering and product.
